Our Thanksgiving project this year fed 30 families in our community that otherwise wouldn’t have had a Thanksgiving meal. We have three businesses that donate the turkeys, and our church puts together the rest of the baskets. They are then delivered in a laundry basket so the people have something useful to keep. Most importantly, each family receives a Bible and information about the church. There is an agency we work closely with in the county; four of the ladies working in the agency said that all of their churches are larger than ours, but they are extremely impressed with the way our church is tending to our community. They feel we have the best Thanksgiving outreach by far. Pray the Lord will use these opportunities to strengthen our ability to reach others for Christ and to strengthen our community.
