Ecola Bible School, Cannon Beach, OR

Duff-D(Ecola and Village Missions have enjoyed a long history of partnership in ministry.  Children of Village Missionaries attend Ecola at a discounted rate and Village Missions provides David Duff, who is considered a Village Missionary, with the base salary. Over the years an incredible number of young people have been strengthened in their walk with the Lord through Ecola.  To learn more, please go to http://www.ecola.org/)   This has been a busy time. We had a full-time staff retreat the second week of September, where we began preparing for the school year. There were lots of items on our list that needed to be discussed for the beginning of the School of Ministry. On the 14th I signed the final papers for the purchase of our new Ecola housing. We’ve been kept busy getting the house ready for the guys to occupy. Our assistants arrived on the 20th, and we’ve been busy training them as well. The rest of the School of Ministry students arrived on September 27th, and classes began on the 28th.   David & Drenda Duff

Otego, NY

AllensMini-Conference was just what we needed.  Our fellow missionaries did as God led them to speak and ministered to and challenged our hearts as they spoke.   The ones who spoke did so with “fear and trembling,” but God did the rest and exhorted us through His Word.  As always, the fellowship is great in the VM Family!   Bill & Karla Allen

SHERIDAN LAKE, CO

ChristophersensWe are so glad to be back in Village Missions, and very glad that God has called us here to Sheridan Lake.  I had the chance to share the Gospel with a couple of bicyclers who stopped here to spend the night in our church as they travel along the Colorado Bike Trail. I’ve also had a chance to meet some of the people in the community.  I try to make it over several times a week to have coffee with the guys who meet in the convenience store in the morning.  I also go on Thursdays to the nursing home.  Virgil & Lavonne Christophersen

Avenal, CA

CoronasThere have been many good testimonies from our church members. God did a miracle for one young girl, 13 years old, who has been treated for bone cancer in one knee. The doctors did their part, but amazingly she recovered her health by faith since she was praying for no more chemotherapy. God showed us His power when doctors diagnosed no more cancer cells in her bone and decided that it was not necessary to remove the bone of her knee. These powerful testimonies are happening with those who put in practice their faith, including a young girl that was in the hospital after being bitten by a black widow three times. She is out of risk now. A brother in Christ was also healed after having gallstones, and his prayer and faith allowed him to be healed without surgery. You know what, he did not have medical insurance, and that’s why I know that God saw his faith and operated His merciful love unto him. Amen! Also at our baptisms in Cambria, we had 11 church members baptized, thanks to God!   Raul & Teresa Corona

Bangor, CA Bruce & Audrey Chikalla

Chikalla-Bruce-Audrey-Sept-12Several youth in our congregation served at Mount Hope Bible Camp this summer. One girl interned the entire summer! It’s a positive step in the growth of our youth. We praise the LORD for His faithfulness here in Bangor!
