Harlan, KS

KargsLast month we almost decided to cancel Kids4Truth because of so much sickness, but decided to go ahead, even with smaller numbers. In the younger class, the teacher decided to read a book, “I Believe in Jesus,” which presents the gospel clearly to children. Even before she asked them, one little boy asked if he could pray right now! Jim & Lynette Karg

Pahrump, NV

Walker-KIt’s just been one event after another all month – hectic and confusing, to say the least! I can confidently proclaim that the only constant in our lives is change. As we speed into Christmas, hoping to meet deadlines and give proper attention to the Savior who was born, I want to stay focused on Psalm 116:7: “Be at rest once more, O my soul for the Lord has been good to you.” May He continue to bless Village Missions, Pahrump Community Church, and everyone who reads this.  Have a blessed holiday! PHILIPSBURG, MT

AbbeysI got a call from the rest home that a resident had just found out that her son had a heart attack.  Since the son lived in another town quite some distance, there was no way she could go see him in her physical condition. When I went up to see her, I found her weeping so hard that her entire body was shaking. I talked with her awhile and shared some scripture, and asked if I could pray with her. As I was praying for her and her son, the phone rang; I answered it for her.  It was one of her other sons calling to tell her that the son that had the massive heart attack (he coded twice), had just experienced an amazing recovery, and was doing excellently. God’s timing is amazing!  Del & Colleen Abbey

CUSICK, WA

Cochran-T-JHow much we have to be thankful for! We’ve been reflecting on how good God has been to us this past year, to bring us to where we are now. We just celebrated 5 months of marriage and our 3rd month here on our new field. Wow! What amazing things God does when you put your life in His hands! We feel like we are getting more and more settled here as we get into the groove of things and get to know both our congregation and our community better. We are still baking cookies occasionally to pass out to our neighbors as we introduce ourselves, and the responses have been varied, but we trust that God will use our simple advances to touch lives and open doors in the future.  Travis & Jennifer Cochran

Willow River, BC

GiesbrechtsWe’ve recently had the opportunity to support the local school’s Parent Advisory Council in providing them a warm and inviting place to have their meetings. Since they closed the old school building last summer, they have no place to meet while school is in session, so we offered the church. For the first meeting, we had coffee and tea and a play area set up with snacks for the preschoolers that were sure to come.  The parents really appreciated the effort that was made and they left a note for us to say so. We have also offered the church to be used for the school’s Christmas concert, a traditional seniors’ luncheon, and a preschool play group called “Ready Set Learn.” We pray these will be opportunities to be used of God to reach out and build relationships with our community.  Joe & Margaret Giesbrecht
