We’ve recently had the opportunity to support the local school’s Parent Advisory Council in providing them a warm and inviting place to have their meetings. Since they closed the old school building last summer, they have no place to meet while school is in session, so we offered the church. For the first meeting, we had coffee and tea and a play area set up with snacks for the preschoolers that were sure to come. The parents really appreciated the effort that was made and they left a note for us to say so. We have also offered the church to be used for the school’s Christmas concert, a traditional seniors’ luncheon, and a preschool play group called “Ready Set Learn.” We pray these will be opportunities to be used of God to reach out and build relationships with our community.
