Broadbent, OR

MaysThe church photo copier was officially pronounced dead. A trustee took it to Coos Bay for repair; the copier was beyond repair and replacement would have cost $800.00. The trustee consulted a man at church that has a technical/computer background regarding the features we needed on a new copier. That very day, this man’s employer was considering disposing of a used copier. The employer donated the used yet perfectly serviceable copier to the church. Praise God for His provision! BRIDGE, OR

Taylor-Andy-Stacy-Sept-16On Christmas Day my family and several other people from our church went caroling at the senior facility in town. We sang for the first lunch session, went to the rooms of those who don’t leave their room, and then sang for the second lunch session. I don’t know who was more blessed; the residents there alone on Christmas Day, those of us who got to share a special moment, or the staff who have seen us as the only group to come on Christmas – and about the only visitors. One woman who was in her room absolutely lit up with joy when we came in, especially to see a trio of little girls singing about Christ just for her. She was bright and cheery, but had no legs. It was a very sobering time for our group; to see all the lonely, lovely people on such a day really brought home the true meaning of Christ’s gift. Andy & Stacy Taylor

CLINTON, OH

ArchersWe are encouraged by the new emphasis on prayer in our church. I’ve started a new series on prayer for our Sunday morning worship. We also dedicate the first Wednesday of each month for prayer alone. We don’t have our regular Bible study during that time and focus on spiritual needs.  We trust God will use our movement in this direction. Mark & Donna Archer

Sauvie Island, OR

RichardsonsWe are enjoying a very positive atmosphere these days. Newer folks are getting connected. The body is sharing burdens together. One young man has been here for about 8 years and eventually found his way to our doors. Our son Nathan will be heading back for his 2nd term @ Ecola Bible School. Our ladies finished their “Experiencing God” study and thoroughly enjoyed it. Several who have attended these Bible studies over the last couple of years have now started to attend our morning worship services – they understand their need to be connected to the body! The rest of our ministries are plugging along – step by step – with joy and enthusiasm. The Lord has graciously blessed us and we have been able to share those blessings with others, financially & spiritually. Russ & Linda Richardson
