PAW PAW, WV

june-26-mcmullen.JPGPraise the Lord for a good response at VBS. Two other churches in our area were having VBS at the same time. Our numbers were down some, but we had new children attend as well, so all turned out good. We have new air conditioning in the church, and that made a difference in the heat for our evening school. The children were well behaved.  Cliff & Carol McMullen

BROADVIEW, SK

june-19-hedman.jpgWe were blessed on Sunday, May 27th, when eight kids from our Kids’ Club came for the morning service with their parents. The children sang many choruses that they learned in Club. Jean told the children a story and I (Larry) brought a short message, and one little girl was dedicated. After the dedication, the children sang, “Jesus Loves the Children of the World.” The service was followed by a BBQ which everyone enjoyed. A total of 48 people attended the morning service and 49 attended the BBQ. Two families said that they would send their children to Sunday school if we started one, so we will pray about this.  Larry & Jean Hedman

SPRINGVIEW, NE

june-13-courts.JPGWe were encouraged in May by an invitation to lead a Sunday morning worship service (8 a.m.) in a rural area of the community where there is no church of any kind.  The people in the area want to meet twice a month for the summer and then see where they want to go from there.  It will add some “stress” to our already busy Sunday mornings, but we’re hoping it will open the door for sharing the Gospel with a lot of unchurched people who live in that area.  Sam & Mary Courts

LAKE CALIFORNIA, CA

june-05-bredow.JPGWe’re now working on our 15th year serving this field, and Lennie and I have started meeting with two couples. A young man who was in our very first Christmas musical at the age of 5 is now engaged, and we are discipling him and his fiancée as they plan to be married in June of 2008. It’s a joy to help them prepare. We’re also meeting with his sister, who was also in that same first Christmas musical and is also engaged to be married – in September of this year. What a joy it is to see these two choosing life partners who know and trust Christ. What a joy it is to be able to encourage them in this new phase of their life with their Lord.  Jim & Lennie Bredow
