SUTHERLAND’S RIVER, NS

july-31-klein.JPGOur Vacation Bible School went very well; we had 5 children pray to receive the Lord Jesus Christ. We saw a real openness in the hearts of the kids that we have not seen ever in our ministry. We also had a great Gospel concert the following week with a good turnout. There were a number of unsaved people and the message was clear through the music and words of the performers and the message that I preached. We had about 120 attend the concert. Please pray for our follow-up with contacts that we made.  Alan & Bonnie Klein

PIERCEVILLE, KS

july-24-majors.JPGVBS went very well. We had 47 children registered over the four days; 7 teens and 21 adults helped in all the areas! Two children responded to the prayer for salvation. A lot of great seed was planted in hearts, as well as modeling of the Christian life by the adults. The director was so thrilled to be bringing a van full of children, but moved to tears when she related that there were other children in the community she didn’t have room for in her van who needed the Lord. That kind of compassion God will reward!  Terry & Martha Major

MOHAWK, OR

july-17-castillo.jpgWe were involved in a special ministry to the family of a man who died in a head-on collision on a mountain road. His teenaged son witnessed the accident. As a volunteer chaplain on the local fire department, I was called to the scene to help the family. Things were complicated, as it was a hit-and-run situation. We helped the family deal with the trauma, packed their camp, and led them back to town and their home. We also helped them find a funeral home; later, we were asked to do the services because they had just moved to town and didn’t know anyone. Although these folks may never attend our church, they said they believed God had us there to minister to their needs. What a time of healing as we shared the hope for eternal life that we all can have in Jesus Christ. God’s work here seems to stretch beyond the boundaries of our local church, as He sees fit.  Nick & Marian Castillo

LOMA, CO

july-10-shields-m.JPGPraise God for our children’s Vacation Bible School week; 5 children received the Lord Jesus as Savior! Praise God also for a lady in the church who is very capable and just came forward to assume our accounting needs. We were on the verge of going to a professional accounting service, so this is a real encouragement and answer to prayer.  Mike & Jan Shields

RED CLOUD, NE

july-3-hansen-jon.JPGLast Saturday, while I was mowing the church and parsonage lawns, my neighbor came out to visit.  As we were talking, he took my hands and said, “Jon, would I be welcome in your church?”  I told him our doors are open and that he would be welcomed in by our people. Yesterday they were all sitting out on their porch, and this man’s older son said, “I saw you on TV today, Pastor.” Our church puts the services on the local cable channel, which is free. After feeling discouraged a lot this past month, I realize that this is what it’s all about.  I can’t control what others are doing with their lives, but I can pray that the Lord will cause them to change and to grow in Him.  Jon & Debra Hansen
