WISHRAM, WA

hargroves.JPGMany opportunities exist for witnessing here in Wishram.  Rhonda and I have adopted a routine of stopping to talk to nearly everyone we meet. Some of these conversations have opened up further avenues of friendship and discussion. We’ve taken many of the youth from town to camp and then held VBS. Both were very successful in terms of the kids hearing the Word of God, and we pray that fruit will be borne from them. We’ve provided transportation to doctors, grocery stores, Bible studies, the welfare office, and other appointments. We’ve made arrangements for people to see the free dentist and begin studying for the GED. We’ve made it known that we are here because of God’s call. We are preaching the Word and loving the people! GALENA, AK

hayeks.jpgI’ve been visiting a disabled man that we run errands for. I’ve discovered that once I get to know people, the way they act and talk makes more sense. He never directly asks a question – instead, he makes a statement that he expects me to respond to, and he appreciates that I respond from Scripture instead of just my own opinion. God opened a special opportunity for witnessing to this man; one week I had accidentally not given him all of his change. It wasn’t until later in the evening before I realized it. I immediately went over and gave him the rest of his change. He was so surprised and impressed that he called me when I got home and asked if I could come over some time when I’m not busy with other things and just talk with him. I wasn’t expecting that, but I can see God working!  Jeremiah & Tricia Hayek

DOUBLE ADOBE, AZ

finley-m.JPGPraise the Lord for the 8 children that were baptized on August 12.  We were so excited because all but one came through our children and/or youth program. Most decided to be baptized during VBS. One teen girl had wanted to for 3 years but her parents wouldn’t allow it. She talked to them again and she was given permission. What a joy.
