OLMSTEDVILLE, NY
We had our annual Thanksgiving dinner for the church, and things went great. We had 85 in attendance and everyone had their fill. Some hunters came to the dinner, and one of them reached for his wallet as he was saying good-bye and wanted to know how much dinner was. I asked him if he enjoyed the dinner, and he said yes. I told him that was all the payment we needed, and he shook his head in disbelief. One of my elders was there and saw what had happened. I looked at him and said, “That response is exactly why we do this every year.” Last year we had a special Thanksgiving dinner for an area senior living home, where we went to them and prepared everything in their commons area. We did it again this year, because the residents hadn’t stopped talking about it from last year. Everyone had a great time, and again they were very thankful that we as a church cared for them enough to have dinner for them. Chad & Jenny Haneman
