Creative Giving
Village Missions has a working relationship with Servant Christian Community Foundation that has increased our awareness of the wide variety of ways Christians are able to donate to their favorite charity. We are excited about the new Creative Giving initiative Servant has undertaken that will be a great benefit to Village Missions.
"Creative Giving" opens various and creative ways you can give from the resources God has placed in your care. Giving can be according to your plan and your timing.
If you are planning on selling or trading your vehicle for a newer model, you might consider donating the older model, make a substantial gift, gain a tax deduction and avoid any of the hassles of selling or trading. Your donation will have an eternal impact in the lives of people in rural America.
The "Giving Vehicles" program includes; automobiles, trucks, pickups, motorcycles, utility trailers, campers, RV's, bulldozers, backhoes, paving equipment, industrial equipment, farming equipment, power boats, sail boats, and aircraft. Servant is affiliated with a nation-wide program that will pick up your "vehicle" at no cost to you.
"Donating Inventory" is another method available through the "Creative Giving" program. Many businesses are faced with problem inventories. Most businesses will take one of three options; "landfill" the product, liquidate the product and live with the consequences, or warehouse the product and keep it in overstock.
"Donating Inventory" is one way you are able to make a charitable donation and help make a difference in rural America. You can convert business assets to support the Gospel and remove overstock at the same time! Some of the types of inventories that are donated include food (canned and dried), beverages, toys, books, industrial equipment, clothing, building materials, arts and antiques. Even though there are some restrictions, most inventory items can be converted into a charitable donation.
