December 3 – Vern & Cindy Wilkinson, NW District Representatives

2006-11-29.jpgWe are the District Representatives in Washington and Alaska. We are responsible to support 33 missionary families, recruit new missionaries, open new fields, and otherwise represent Village Missions. Recruiting is the most difficult task. Alaska has a growing need for Village Missionaries. Pray for a potential missionary to complete his fundraising. Pray the Lord to bring in couples called to serve in the bush country of Alaska. Pray for fields now waiting for missionaries.

November 22 – Bruce & Debra Swan, Springfield, ME

2006-11-23.jpgThe main source of income in our area of northeast Maine is mainly woods-related work—cutting, hauling wood, or making paper. Many communities around us seem to be dying, but our community is growing. People are buying land and building nice homes; most of these people have raised their families but are too young to retire. They are very energetic and very open to the Gospel, and have been a big asset to our church. The church is steadily growing and we feel that the best is yet to come. Please pray for discipleship of young Christians, and that we will continue providing an atmosphere for the older Christians to mentor the next generation to Christian maturity.

November 19 – Gary & Patsy Semenyna, Wasa, BC

2006-11-15.jpgWasa Lake is in the East Kootenay area of British Columbia, between the Purcell & Rocky Mountain Ranges. It’s becoming a vacation hotspot with golf, hiking, cycling, fishing, hot springs and skiing, all within an hour’s drive. Tourism is becoming a major industry, along with the Forestry Service and some cattle ranching. Pray for continued strength to carry on the work of our field, and that people within our church fellowship will have a vision of reaching the lost for Christ.
