April 29 – Cliff & Casey Horr, San de Fuca, WA

horr-c.jpgSan de Fuca Community Chapel is on Whidbey Island, about 40 miles north of Seattle, WA. Whidbey is the largest island in the continental U.S. Access to the island is by bridge at the north end and by ferry at the south end and west side. We are in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, so our climate is drier than most of Washington. At the north end of the island is Whidbey Island Naval Air Station. Most people commute across the ferry to work at Boeing in Everett. The Chapel is small but active and full of wonderful, loving, serving believers of all age groups. The year ahead appears to be our most challenging yet. The recent purchase of property adjacent to the Chapel will allow for some growth, but also calls for a considerable increase in giving. Pray for a continued growth of our vision and for the lost souls all around us, that we would be going to them with the Good News of Christ.

April 22 – Craig & Shelley Curtis, Camp Creek, OR

april-17-curtis-craig.jpgCamp Creek is just east of the Eugene-Springfield area, in a beautiful valley along the McKenzie River. Although we are located near the city and have many people who work there, we’re still a country church. Ranching, farming, and a small amount of logging all take place in our area. Please pray for God’s wisdom, strength, and vision for us as we minister to our church family and community. Pray for direction for the church, as we’re in the beginning stages of expanding our facilities. Pray for the continued vitality of our small-group ministry, which has been a huge blessing to our church family. Pray for the children and youth in our church, as they seek to grow in the Lord—especially for those who have recently accepted Christ. Pray for those who work with our children and youth, that they will be strengthened, refreshed, and encouraged. And pray that Camp Creek Church will consistently be a light for the Lord in this community and surrounding area.

April 15 – Sean & Jani Carney, Newell, SD

apr-10-carney.JPGNewell is a farm and ranching community just about 40 minutes north of the Black Hills in South Dakota. These farmers and ranchers have experienced several years of drought and many work other jobs to make ends meet. Lives are very busy, but the sense of community is strong. Please pray with us as we make plans for a building project to meet some of our ministry’s physical needs and for the youth and family ministries in our church.

April 8 – Mark & Rebecca Bueckert, Amaranth, MB

april-5-buekert.jpgAmaranth is on the west side of Lake Manitoba, about an hour drive north of Portage la Prairie. This is a community of farmers, cattle ranchers, and commercial fishermen. There is also a strong aboriginal community with a large reservation only a mile from town. This gives the added challenges of multicultural ministry. Pray for the church as we seek to reach both the white farmers and the native community—both on and off the Reserve. Pray for spiritual growth in the church through the many church programs, services, and social events.
