September 30 – Raul & Teresa Corona, Avenal, CA

corona.jpgAvenal is located in the Central Valley of California, the most important agricultural area of the U.S. For this reason, Avenal is mainly populated by Hispanic immigrants (95% of the total inhabitants) that work in the fields. Church services are mainly in Spanish for adults, bilingual for youth and children. Recently, 215 people are the average for our Sunday worship service. Please pray for our church building project, that our permits will come through and that we as a church make wise decisions in the materials, seeking a loan, and overall construction. Pray for our leadership group, that they can lead and disciple the new believers in their cell groups. Pray for the pastor and his family, to fulfill their needs and to renew their strength every day and dress them in the armor of God to accomplish His daily work.

September 23 – Tommie & Karen Owen, Tensed, ID

owen-t.jpgWe are about 50 miles south of Coeur d’Alene, on the Coeur d’Alene Reservation. To the west is a treeless plain called The Palouse, and to the east are the rolling foothills of the Bitterroot Range. There are about 90 people in our town! Along with folks from other small towns nearby, our church averages attendance of about 44. Farming and logging are the main occupations of the area. Please pray for a young men’s discipleship group that has been meeting with Tommie. One young man in the group is from the Coeur d’Alene tribe. Pray for him to ‘catch the fire’ to witness to his people.

September 16 – Rob & Debbie Hoffman, Gold River, BC

hoffman.jpgGold River is an isolated community, set in the heart of a lush, mountainous rainforest on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Logging is the mainstay of the economy, but secondary industries are beginning to develop, including a power plant. Please pray that God would continue to build up the men in the church and develop them into leaders, that Christ’s body here would become even more united and tightly bound together in His love, and that we will have greater boldness and wisdom in reaching out to our community and the neighboring Reserve with the Gospel.

September 9 – Eric & Dawn Anderson, Bowdoin, ME

anderson-e.JPGLocated in mid-coast Maine, Bowdoin is a town trying to remain small while everything around us is growing quickly. Pray for our future children’s ministry as we look into starting an AWANA Club. Pray for the men of Bowdoin, that they would come to know their place as the spiritual leaders in the family, the local church, and the community.  The ladies’ Bible study has been growing this year; pray that their hunger for the Word would spill over to their families, as most of their husbands are not Christians.
