Wasa Lake is a resort area nestled between the Purcell and Rocky Mountain ranges, 40 kms north of Cranbrook, BC and about 100 kms south of Radium Hot Springs. There is no shortage of skiing, golfing, hiking, fishing, and whatever else people like to do in the summer and winter months. We are experiencing the economic downturn like everyone else, as the forestry industry is one of the main employers for the area. There is some ranching in the area, and the rumblings of mining starting again. The church serves Wasa Lake, Tata Creek, and Skookumchuck. We also have families coming from Cranbrook and Canal Flats. Pray that we as a Church Fellowship will continue to mature in our faith, and that we will be able to make a difference in our communities. Pray as well for an outreach Bible study and Kids’ Club we are doing in Canal Flats, a community of about 1000 people with no church.
