As You Pray This Week…

1. We thank the Lord for the way He has moved people to pray for and give to Village Missions. We thank the Lord for the family of Village Missions – the people in the churches we serve, our Village Missionaries and families, District Representatives, administrative staff, board members, people who give, and people who pray.
2. Please continue to pray for our candidates as they raise their support and for wisdom as we consider their assignment to a field.
3. Pray for the various Christmas activities on our fields – that those without Christ would understand the true purpose of His coming to earth and accept Jesus as Savior.

November 29: Keith & Kim Walker, Pahrump, NV

Walker-KOne hour west of Las Vegas, Pahrump originally boomed as a retirement town. Pahrump Community Church has had Village Missions leadership since it began in 1968. Although there are still many retirees, this church has seen a significant influx of younger families in recent years. The church ministers to the community with a very active Food Pantry ministry, a Preschool and a Christian Academy. Pray for the successful construction of a new multi-purpose facility to accommodate this growing congregation. Pray for Keith & Kim as their youngest begins college this fall and they experience “empty nest syndrome” for the first time in almost thirty years.

November 22: Mark & Debbie Lugg, Bowman, CA

LuggsBowman is between Redding and Red Bluff in northern California. Many folks are retired while others work in the nearby communities. Pray that we would faithfully proclaim the gospel and that God would bless that faithfulness. Pray also that body of believers would be well cared for. Pray that we might be able to purchase a piece of property just north of the church for a sanctuary or future growth.

November 15: Henry & Marilyn Vandermeer, Nukko Lake, BC

VandermeersOur church is in a beautiful location of lakes, rivers, and forests, approximately ½ hour from Prince George, a city of 80,000 people. We are a flourishing church with a good mixture of young families, older families, new believers, and mature believers. We are blessed with a very hard working group of people. God is blessing us as we grow programs and ministries. Pray for the marriages within our church and community. Pray for the leadership of the church as we seek to develop our elder and deacon responsibilities. Pray that we will be Godly leaders, especially within the context of our own marriage. Pray for our outreach into the community via Bible studies, men’s and ladies’ programs, Pioneer Club, and Youth Group.

November 8: Marty & Cindy Cole, Ocean Park, WA

ColesOcean Park sits on the north end of Cape Columbia (also known as Long Beach Peninsula), a 20+ mile peninsula that receives visitors for events like the “End of the World” Rod Run. Beautiful as it is, the peninsula is also known for spiritual darkness. Most of the area’s employment is in law enforcement.

However, PRAISE is due. We have renewed passion, refreshed vision, and a restored facility after a fire in the church. We praise God for several decisions for Christ recently, and for many more coming forward to make other commitments before our GOD.
