Gwynne is a farming community in a picturesque valley that is between 2 larger town centers. There are only about 20 houses in our village. Many people in the area commute to work in the oil patch. Pray that people would discover what a great church this is, right in their own valley. Many travel right past the door to attend church in the neighboring centers. Pray for a men’s ministry getting started this fall. We desire God’s way in this. Pray for a ladies’ Bible study to start this year.

We cover the East Coast for VM. Pray for the fall visits to the missionaries and fields in the East, that we would be a blessing to all visited. Pray also for us as we recruit in the many colleges in the East; pray that God would raise up those interested in serving with VM. Pray for the churches in the East needing leadership: Endicott, NY and Port Leyden, NY. Pray for good health and for safety as we travel many miles each month.

Broadview is located on Highway No. 1, 150 km east of Regina. Broadview is a farming area, with many large farms. The town is a retirement town and is attracting many from Alberta and BC who are looking for cheaper housing in a quiet setting. We have no children in our church, but attract 15 to 20 from the community to our Kids’ Club in the winter. Both of us (Larry and Jean) have some health concerns. Two of our children are not following the Lord. Pray for wisdom in reaching out to the parents of our Club kids.

We are located in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, near Mount St. Helens. In recent years, Yale Valley has been changing from a reclusive logging community into a growing bedroom community for the urban areas of Vancouver, WA, and Portland, OR. Please pray that we have the mind of Christ in our fall men’s, women’s, and kids’ programs, and that the Lord would raise up youth workers for our teens. Please pray that the unsaved in our community would receive the life of Christ, especially those who are married to believers. Pray that our building be completed safely and in the Lord’s time. We do thank you so much for praying.

This is an extremely rural area with some irrigation farming, but mostly ranching. We have a country church about 4 miles from the town of Bassett (700), one of only two towns in the whole county, and about 125 miles from the nearest larger hospitals and Wal-Mart. About 30 attend the church; most are retired, and our daughter is the only child. We are presently doing a Sunday school class on evangelism: Pray that this will motivate more in our church to share their faith with others. Pray that God would send us more people, especially families, people that are hungry to grow spiritually. Pray for safety and strength for me (Walter) as I am trying to insulate the parsonage by myself.
