April 13: Mark & Bonnie Canady, Pacific City, OR
Situated on the beautiful Oregon Coast, Pacific City originally developed as a fishing village. Fishing is still a vital part of PC; the sign coming into town still reads, “Home of the Dory Fleet” – a Dory is a flat-bottom boat that can be launched and landed right on the beach. Many of the old fishermen slowly retired in PC and the town has developed into quite a tourist attraction. The winter population stands at about 2000 people, but the summer population explodes to well over 4000. Pacific City is surrounded by farming and logging. As we strive to reach this area for Christ, please pray for greater outreach into our community. Pray for the various Bible studies that meet weekly and for growth in the lives of the believers. Pray also for our various youth outreaches, including plans already being worked on for this summer’s Vacation Bible School.
