Lenwood is located on historic Route 66, just west of Barstow in the high desert region of southern CA. The area is a melting pot, having a highly diverse culture with people from all areas of the country and from all walks of life. Having people from such varied backgrounds brings incredible blessings within the church, seeing the people pull together as one in Christ. However, the community also has a strong underlying culture of its own, which unfortunately revolves around drugs, homelessness, and gang activity. We are extremely thankful for the many new families we are seeing in the church, and for the strength of those who have been here for awhile. One of the main focuses of the church is to reach out to the families that have been ravaged by the destructive nature of the drug culture, by reaching out to their children. Please pray for a new awakening in Lenwood—for Lenwood needs Jesus!
